United Nations - The World Health Organization, WHO, has certified that Cuba has officially become the first country in the world to eliminate the transmission of HIV/AIDS and syphilis from mother to child. Cuba’s success is a step in the right direction to reduce the global threat of HIV and AIDS called for by the sustainable development goals.
