These days, you can find activated charcoal in everything from cocktails to ice cream. (Yes, believe it!) It’s been a staple in the health and wellness community for years to help flush out toxins and chemicals from the body, and it’s easy to find at most health food stores. Like a sponge, activated charcoal contains millions of “pores” to soak up excess oil and impurities, which makes it great for oily and acne-prone skin! This DIY recipe is inspired by Lush’s popular Dark Angels sugar scrub and uses only three ingredients. You can make it in small batches and use immediately on your face or body to help with breakouts. Tip: always do a patch test before applying activated charcoal onto skin! Would you try this at home?
