Come join us for a tour of our apartment in Cape Town, South Africa. We were on the 9th floor of St Martini Gardens apartment complex directly across from The Company's Garden. Honestly our location couldn't have been better as we were more or less within walking distance of most attractions in the city, outdoor markets, restaurants and nightlife.
The studio apartment in Cape Town was small but space efficient meaning we had a table to work and eat and plenty of storage room. The shower was really nice but at the moment Cape Town and surrounding area is experiencing a crucial water shortage so keep that in mind when visiting and consider maybe skipping a shower or two and/or really having a shorter one.
If you're looking for a short term rental apartment in Cape Town I would definitely consider staying here. We had the most incredible views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill from the rooftop and every morning we were treated to a spectacular sunrise from our living room window.
A Spar grocery store is only a 7-10 minute walk from the apartment and we basically were only snacking and having breakfast in our place because it was so cheap to eat out. We did buy a lot of wine though ;)

Cape Town Apartment Tour in South Africa Video Transcript:
Anyways, we are in Cape Town and we ended up renting an AirBNB here for the week so we figured we would show you around so you can see what you can expect to find and pay.
I think we were paying about $40 dollars a night. Forty US dollars if I remember correctly. Yeah, that is right.
And it is a studio so what you see is what you get. Um, so I guess we'll show you the bedroom first.
Tada. Tada.
We got a pretty nice bed. Ah, you can see the mirror. Aaah.
The mirror looks it make a lot more spacious than it actually is. Lots of pillows, the bed was comfy so plus for that. Yeah.
So something we should mention about this place is that normally we do our apartment tours like just when we're checking in. Once we've checked in.
But look at this. We're just about to leave. Like we are literally. After we film this. Yeah. We are out of here. We're off to the airport. Well, I had to tidy up to film this. I know.
Saved it for the last day. Everything is packed. Yes. Um, yeah.
So we also have a TV area. We didn't turn the TV on at all. Not even once. Oh, there is something I want to show you guys. Check out these they have the strangest plugs. Oh yeah, they have really strange plugs in South Africa. They're like similar to the European and UK ones except they're like 3 times as big. We had to buy huge adapters. Yeah. But anyway.
Anyways, living area. I do like this couch quite a bit. The other day there was a mosquito buzzing around my head so I came and slept here because I couldn't kill it. I couldn't find it. Yep. So this makes a comfy bed if there is 3 of you.
Um, some lovely plants, books and then you're already in the kitchen. Yeah. And so this would normally be used as a table to eat. A dining table.
A dining table but we were working on here. This is our office. And as you can see it has barstools. It has got two barstools. Yep.
The kitchen was pretty nice. Yes. Sam did the dishes for us. Ah, look at that. That was pretty much my only contribution to cleaning up this place. But yeah.
You know what? We didn't actually cook a lot because going out to a restaurant is quite affordable here in Cape Town. So our fridge, this all we're leaving behind, haha. Yoghurt.
Yoghurt and water.
One thing I will yeah these are the chilled waters that we're going to take with us.
One thing I will say though is that I had quite a bit of wine while I was here.
And yeah, that is it for the kitchen. I mean we've got a stove, we have a microwave. Lots of cupboard space. I mean we had a kettle, a toaster, a coffee maker. Something cool you'll find in here.
Alright, so it is almost time to go meet our taxi driver. So let me show you out. Off you go. I hope you enjoyed the tour. This is kind of what we do. When we're done our videos we just send you out the door. That is it. Nice seeing you. And see you next time. Bye bye.
