Ali, 17, is one of 100 former child soldiers being helped at a UNICEF-supported training centre in Somalia. From plumbing to tailoring, the children at the centre learn trades that can help them secure a better life.
"Only empowering ourselves through education can give us a good life," he says.
The continuing conflict in Somalia is keeping over 5,000 children in armed groups.
