We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Gothenburg, Sweden on Auguust 2024.
Welcome to Gothenburg (Göteborg), Sweden's vibrant second city, located on the nation's stunning west coast. Known for its friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere, Gothenburg is a city shaped by its history as a major seaport, with Dutch-designed canals and a character that has earned it the nickname "Little London." Founded in 1621 by King Gustavus Adolphus, it rapidly grew into a key center for trade and shipping. Today, it's a hub of innovation, home to major industries and a thriving cultural scene. With a population of around 600,000, Gothenburg is celebrated for its lush parks, a beautiful archipelago just a tram ride away, and a world-class culinary scene, especially famous for its fresh seafood. Just like in the rest of Sweden, the currency is the Swedish Krona (SEK), and English proficiency is excellent. The city's blue trams are an iconic and efficient way to explore its different neighborhoods.
