This short video sheds light on households’ experiences during the Covid-19 lockdown in Kumasi, Ghana. It is based on findings from collaborative research between the University of Cambridge and Kumasi Technical University on how “Housing characteristics and households’ circumstances impacted adherence to Covid-19 health and safety protocols in Ghana. The video is intended to serve as a collective memory of what happened during the lockdown and hopefully inform housing policymaking and housebuilding practices in Ghana. The research based on which the film was produced was funded by the Cambridge Africa ALBORADA Grant and this film forms part of research impact activities funded by the UKRI All Councils Harmonised Rapid Response Grant.
