The founder of MercadoLibre e-commerce, the eBay of Latin America, Marcos Galperin, MBA ‘99, heard early on that his idea would never work. Today the company is worth more than $27 billion. His advice? “Try to take risks. If you have a view of something that is a contrarian view but makes sense to you, pursue it, but you need to be resilient and long-term focused.”
Galperin and his co-founders Hernán Kazah, MBA ’99, and Stelleo Tolda, MBA ‘99, were interviewed by Oladoyin Oladapo, MBA ’20, as part of View From The Top, the dean’s premier speaker series.
