Some of you may not realize I was one of the first fitness stars on YouTube although I never felt like I belonged.
I always felt I needed to weigh less to be viewed as a successful fitness internet person. I restricted before photo shoots to hit 130 and would gain the weight back quick. I couldn’t stay there eating “normal” aka not a psycho.
When I got pregnant with Tommy, I started to be kinder to my body and slowly stepped away from YT as my mental health was exhausted from it. I stopped doing 60 min bootcamps 5x a week, marathon training and 90 min hot yoga on my rest days. Before pregnancy, if I ate 1200-1400 calories, it was a good day.
After my second was born, I didn’t want to fall back into my old traps. I’d be starving after dinner for obvious reasons and struggled to know what or how much to eat to avoid this cycle of restrict ➡️ binge ➡️excessive exercise ➡️ restrict.
It wasn’t until I joined the FASTer Way in Jan 2019 that I discovered how tracking macros would help me eat more and remove the stigma of being bad for putting certain foods in my mouth. I now intuitively eat and don’t track on a regular basis but I do when my clothes feel tight. I’m currently 5-10 lbs HEAVIER than the first pictures on this reel but I’m two jean sizes smaller! My life changed when I realized I could eat like a normal person and not gain weight.
Since I discovered the FASTER way, it’s been my mission to share how this program truly changed my relationship with food and exercise for the better once and for all.
