Ty Morrison - MAE MA ME (#BerkleeAnywhere Concert Series)

Boston Conservatory Dancer Ty Morrison performs from Boston, MA as part of the #BerkleeAnywhere Concert Series. The film is titled "MAE MA ME" (pronounced as My Mommy). Each word means "mother" in different languages — Mae (Brazilian), Ma (Hindi), and Me (Vietnamese). Essentially it is about maternity and what that signifies more importantly the embodiment and the interpretation of the multidimensional maternal influences of his life. He performs to an excerpt from “Perspectives: The Negro and The American Promise” by James Baldwin. Video is filmed and produced by Wesley Verge, graphics assisted by Isak Kotecki.
