A HELPLESS ROHINGYA REFUGEE IN BANGLADESH SUFFERS FROM GANGRENE AND AWAITS SLOW DEATH, A REFUGEE SAYS
Cox’s Bazaar – An old, poor and helpless Rohingya man in Kutupalong Refugee camps, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazaar district, has been suffering from Gangrene and struggling for his survival for a few years now.
The 52-year-old refugee identified to be ‘Ali Meah’ is an unregistered refugee in the camps and hence, deprived of basic medical facilities.
“Two of his leg fingers have been cut off due to the disease. Now, it has become life-threatening if he doesn’t have his leg cut off in time according to the doctors. But he is too poor to afford money for such an operation. Meanwhile, he might face an untimely death unless he is cured in time,” said a refugee in the Kutupalong camp.
It has been learnt that International Organization for Migration has provided him some medical assistances. But those assistances are not simply enough to save his life.
The 52-year-old refugee is father of five under-age children.
