Jazz arrangement of a traditional Chinese folk tune, "茉莉花 Jasmine Flower," featuring soloists Billy Yang on Dizi and Georgina Qian on Pipa, and arrangement by Eugene Sun.
This concert was part of the sold-out Berklee China-U.S. Music Concert on December 2, 2018, a celebration that bridges the Chinese and American music industries. Berklee College of Music talent from different countries performed Chinese and English songs in mixed styles, including soul, pop, R&B, funk, and jazz.
The concert was the grand finale of the Berklee China-U.S. Music Summit 2018, a private two-day event hosted by the Berklee Chinese Music Industry Club for Chinese music industry guests. More than a dozen CEOs and representatives presented career panels and networked with Berklee students. Companies attending included Sony/ATV China, Universal Music, Chinese Music World, Weibo Music, NetEase Music, Amusic Rights Management, and Modern Sky Entertainment.
