Sweet & Spicy Chicken Burger
For the burger:
2lbs ground chicken
1 clove garlic, minced
½ tsp fresh ginger, grated
½ red onion, grated
2 tbsp pineapple juice
1-2 tbsp brown sugar
hot sauce to taste
salt and pepper to taste
For the toppings:
sliced pepper jack cheese
grilled Canadian bacon
grilled pineapple
red onion
In a large mixing bowl combine ground chicken, garlic, ginger, red onion, pineapple juice, brown sugar, hot sauce, salt and pepper.
Use your hands to mix well.
Form six uniform patties.
Grill chicken burgers until they’ve reached an internal temperature of at least 165°F.
Top with cheese and allow cheese to melt.
Place grilled burgers on buns and garnish with grilled Canadian bacon, grilled pineapple and red onion.
Enjoy!
Greek-Inspired Veggie Burger
For the burger:
2 19oz cans white beans OR chickpeas
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ red onion, grated
½ red pepper, finely diced
2 tsp Greek seasoning
½ cup feta cheese
½ lemon, zested and juiced
fresh parsley to taste
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup breadcrumbs OR oats
1 egg
For the toppings:
tzatziki sauce
lettuce
tomato
red onion
In the bowl of a food processor combine white beans, garlic, red onion, red pepper, lemon zest and juice, Greek seasoning, salt, pepper, feta cheese, parsley, breadcrumbs and egg.
Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Form four to six uniform patties.
Grill burgers until they are heated through.
Place grilled burgers on a buns and garnish with tzatziki, lettuce,
tomato and onion.
Enjoy!
Mushroom & Swiss Stuffed Burger
For the burger:
2 tbsp butter
1lb cremini mushrooms, sliced
2lbs ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ red onion, grated
2 tsp horseradish (optional)
2 tbsp steak sauce (optional)
salt and pepper
½ cup Swiss cheese, shredded
For the toppings:
lettuce
onion
tomato
In a large frying pan, heat butter over medium high heat.
Add mushrooms and sauté for 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl combine ground beef, garlic, red onion, horseradish, steak sauce, salt and pepper.
Use your hands to mix well.
Form eight uniform patties.
Stuff four of the patties with mushrooms and Swiss cheese.
Top each patty with a second patty and pinch the edges together to create four stuffed burgers.
Grill burgers to your desired doneness.
Place grilled burgers on buns and garnish with lettuce, onion and tomato.
Enjoy!
