Course description: This 5-week course will challenge intermediate students to express their thoughts on a variety of topics, including personal interests and recent experiences. Specific topics will be based on photos, many of which will come from the students’ own photo albums. The small group format will give speaking time for everyone. Students will develop both speaking and listening skills through a series of live group sessions and independent practice tasks. Attendance and participation in class are expected. Assigned tasks will be optional, but strongly recommended.
Course requirements:
- You must have intermediate proficiency to enroll. (Beginner and advanced students should wait for a course at their level.)
- You must have access to a microphone to speak during the live classes and to record practice tasks. A webcam is needed for classroom participation.
Course highlights:
- Join 5 live group sessions via Zoom (60 minutes each).
- Watch any of the group sessions for reflection and analysis. All live sessions will be recorded and shared in the private room.
- Complete 5 independent speaking tasks for additional practice. (Audio or video possible.) Student submissions will be recorded and uploaded to our private classroom.
- Enjoy access to a private discussion board on Simor.org.
- Benefit from a small group atmosphere and personal feedback from me.
