A day in the life of Iqra, first-year Mathematics student at Magdalen College ????

Here's what she got up to:

'Got up and got ready for morning lectures. Began my 23 minute trek to the Maths Institute (walking past the deer of course) and got breakfast at Taylor’s on the way.

'Got to the Maths Institute which honestly I think is the best department, the building is extremely modern. I had one 9am on Probability and I just love taking pictures of the maths on these lecture boards - it’s stunning!

'After my lecture I headed to one of the study rooms in the maths institute to get started on a problem sheet. Today I was working on an Analysis problem sheet. For lunch I met up with a friend and for dessert we tried out this beautiful cafe on Cornmarket St. 10/10 I recommend!

'Did a quick visit to the Duke Humphrey’s library where they filmed Harry Potter, my friend and I are massive fans!

'Headed back to college for a Linear Algebra tutorial where we went through a problem sheet. After my tutorial it was already dark outside and I headed to Longwall library to finish my problem sheet. I also borrowed a book for the first time about Analysis from the rolling stacks, which were really fun to use!'

'Then to end a day of studying I went to an Islamic Society (ISOC) mocktails event, where it was beautifully decorated, had lots of snacks and really good company!'
