Marriage proposals are supposed to be magical… but this one got something way off.
In the last decade, 25 million child marriages have been prevented. However, the total number of girls being married in childhood is about 12 million a year. Together with partners, we’re working tirelessly to give every girl a childhood by keeping girls in school, ensuring access to basic social services for girls at risk of marriage and raising awareness in communities.
