Advancing Nursing: Update on Campaign for Action

During a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) First Friday Google+ Hangout, panelists discussed the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action and in particular its focus areas of raising the level of nurse education; ensuring a diverse nursing workforce; making sure nurses can work “to the top of their license” and fully use their education and training; and advancing nurses into leadership in health systems. Susan Dentzer, senior policy adviser to the Foundation, led a discussion about transforming health care through nursing and how the campaign is making steady progress to reach the Institute of Medicine’s goals for the profession.
