Graduating Berklee students, faculty members, and our honorary doctorate recipient, Al Di Meola, played “Mediterranean Sundance/Río Grande” at the Commencement Concert “La Nit de Berklee”. For more information visit: https://valencia.berklee.edu/

“Mediterranean Sundance/Río Grande” is an ensemble track composed and produced by Al Di Meola and Paco de Lucía in 1980, which resulted from Al Di Meola's "Mediterranean Sundance" included in his 1977 album Elegant Gypsy and "Río Ancho", a track first featured on Paco de Lucia's 1976 album Almoraima.

The July 7th concert "La Nit de Berklee" was held on a floating stage set over one of the lakes surrounding the Hemisfèric at the City of Arts and Sciences. An extraordinary farewell to the class of 2017-2018.
