As an exciting and rapidly developing subject, Biology has applications across numerous fields, ranging from conservation to molecular genetics. The degree equips students with the cutting edge theoretical and research skills needed to have a positive impact on society.

The course is taught jointly by the Departments of Plant Sciences and Zoology, with access to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, the Botanic Garden, the Herbarium, the Arboretum, the John Krebs Field Station and Wytham Woods. Students may choose to leave after three years and graduate with a BA, or they can continue to a fourth year and graduate with an MBiol.
