What is Participant?

You’ve heard of AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, right? FOOD, INC? ROMA? WHEN THEY SEE US? JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH? Yeah, those are Participant films and shows! Participant is a company that makes content addressing some of the biggest social issues of our time. By working together with passionate artists and activists, nonprofits and NGOs, these stories not only inspire - we move people to take real-world action and create lasting positive social change.

How is this going to be different?

We’re going to transition from posting content on SoulPancake’s social channels to posting new, change making content on Participant’s social channels. You can find archive SoulPancake content (Don’t worry we aren’t taking Kid President’s Pep Talk down) and new Participant content on @Participant across all social channels. You can continue to rewatch SoulPancake Instagram content you love, like HEY THERE, HUMAN episodes too! In regards to the community, together, we’ll continue to inspire and be inspired, but we’re fueling that inspiration into action!

Where is Kid President? What happened to Kid President?

Robby Novak, who you may know as Kid President, is no longer a kid–he’s a teenager! We’ve actually already made a video that explains this that you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEabswbUNdw

Will I be able to watch SoulPancake content?

Of course! You’ll just have to visit @participant on all social channels to do so (Instagram is our only channel that will remain inactive as @soulpancake)!

Is Rainn Wilson going to be involved?

Rainn is a good friend, climate change activist, and Participant family member. That’s definitely not changing!
