Hello Everyone,
My name is Dell Becker and today I'm going to talk about dieting and the foods that can actually ruin your diet. We all know how difficult it can be to achieve the desired weight, especially if you are the kind of who likes to eat. However, some carefully made selection can make the difference between success and failure.
Sometimes, you might think that you are eating healthy but, in reality, your diet might be exactly responsible for the inability to lose weight. There are numerous foods which contain more calories than you are aware of, being presented as healthy choices for anyone who is interested in losing weight.
Here are some of the foods that can have a negative impact on your diet:
Smoothies - one smoothie can deliver up to 1500 calories at once, due to the high content in fruit. Many people also add protein powder to smoothies, thus increasing the overall caloric content. Solution: more veggies, preferably leafy greens.
Granola, dried fruits, and nuts - all of these belong to the same category, delivering between 400-500 calories per serving. Even though they have beneficial properties with regard to health, it is for the best to consume them in small quantities.
Bagels - you might love a bagel with cream cheese in the morning but you are actually taking in more calories than you might think (around 400 calories per serving). Moreover, these calories come from carbs, which is even more damaging.
Cream soups - with a rich flavor, they can easily trick you into thinking that you are making a healthy choice. Cream soups are high in fat and sodium, so they are definitely not recommended to someone who wants to lose weight.
Fat-free foods - when the label says fat-free, be sure to check out the sugar content. All of these foods actually lead to weight gain, so be sure to avoid them altogether.
These are some of the foods that you should avoid when trying to lose weight. For more information on weight loss and dieting, follow ConsumerHealthDigest.com.
