Nancy Cahners, MTS '03, and Mel Kawakami, MDiv '74, ThM '87, address a theme of great importance to ourselves, our communities, and our world: healing.
Cahners has served as a hospice chaplain and medical ethics consultant; Kawakami helped lead his community through the tragedy of Sandy Hook as senior pastor of Newtown United Methodist Church.
In the first Divinity Dialogues event of the 2014–15 academic year, Cahners and Kawakami discuss their experiences at HDS and their work after graduation to help individuals, communities, and themselves navigate through dark times.
