Plagiarism is a big problem that can lead to very serious consequences. When I was in high school, I accidentally plagiarized because I did not know how to do citations. Many students accidentally plagiarize when they write essays or do presentations. In this video, I will first show you exactly what plagiarism is. Next, I will teach you how to avoid plagiarism by citing sources properly. I will give examples using APA and MLA. You’ll learn all about signal phrases, in-text citations, bibliographic citations, reference/works cited pages, and more. It’s okay if you don’t know what these terms mean – I will explain them all in the video.
