Honey Halloumi Spring Rolls
Ingredients:
-spring rolls ( I used Spring home spring roll pastry)
-halloumi cheese
-shredded mozzarella cheese
-hot honey or regular honey
-water or paste ( 1 1/2 tbsp water & 1 tbsp flour) to seal
Directions:
1. If you want a less salty halloumi cheese I recommend soaking it in water for 30 min. I personally enjoyed the saltiness with the sweetness from the honey.
2. While you start rolling up the spring rolls, start heating up the oil to fry the spring rolls.
3. For the spring rolls, start by adding the paste or water to the top as shown in the video. Then add halloumi cheese, mozzarella cheese, and the hot honey. Fold according to the instructions or as shown in the video. Make sure you roll them up tightly.
4. Fry for a couple minutes until they become golden and enjoy with an extra drizzle of honey!
**you can also store these spring rolls, just make sure you don’t fry them. Store them raw and when it’s time to fry make sure you defrost!
