Super beautiful stress-relief toy for your desk which you can make by your own - mini Zen Garden made as Miniature Island in the Ocean with beautiful coral reef at the bottom and sunny beach with palm trees above water. Calm your nerves by drawing in the sand with mini rake and enjoy the view of blue water. Imagine you were there – lying near the miniature campfire, beneath miniature palm trees, under mini beach umbrella on the mini beach towel.
This relaxing desk decoration and stress toy is a great way to forget about your problems. Drawing in the sand and watching on how it is raked (which represents ripples in water) is very relaxing, stress-relieving and helps to reduce anxiety and stress level. Simply focus on the movements you make with mini rake and imagine yourself there – on the island.
To make this beautiful miniature stylized landscape you will need: a glass bowl and glass food container, sand and decorative stones (I bought both items in the pet shop), plastic plants for aquarium and colored paper clips to make miniature starfishes.
Next – let's place two mini palm trees with coconuts. To make them you will need: jute twine, drinking straw, green yarn (better thin and acrylic), mini pompoms and some glue to secure all parts together.
Now time for miniature campfire. You will need a hot glue gun, small stones, acrylic paint (black, white, orange and red), sponges (to draw) and dry branches. Surround these “glowing” coals and dry logs with stones around.
And now this magical place is ready for rest – making a miniature beach umbrella and mini beach towel. You will need a toothpick, paint, paper (to cut a circle for umbrella (diameter 7 cm)) and a tiny piece of fleece fabric (or any other fabric). Fold the circle as I show in the video, insert the toothpick and you're done!
And what Zen Garden could be without rake?! So the final DIY is a mini rake for drawing in the sand. You will need a wooden stir stick, toothpick, super glue and paint.
Enjoy and relax!
