Hello I'm Rhondalee. Today I'm going to tell you about what is Age Spot and how you can prevent and treat age spots?
Age spots are flat, brown, gray, or black spots on the skin. They vary in size and usually appear on the face, hands, shoulders and arms. Age spots are also called liver spots, senile lentigo, solar lentigines, or sun spots. It is caused primarily by years of exposure to ultraviolet light from the sun
The #1 way to prevent age spots is to practice sun protection by using a SPF 30 or higher UVA and UVB sunblock when exposed to sunshine and minimizing sun exposure, in general.
Start using moisturizer as part of your morning routine, avoid direct sun exposure as much as possible- especially during midday, and shield your face when out during the day for long periods of time with a hat.
If you are already noticing age spots and discoloration, treating with an IPL is a quick easy way to erase the spots and using hydroquinone daily keeps them at bay. However you should proceed with caution for IPL treatment, as it may have some side effects.
