Huawei Honor 5x second impressions: 48 hours later

We've reported on it. We've unboxed it, and while we're reviewing it, we're checking in with some early impressions on the Huawei Honor 5X. On paper it's an impressive collection of specs for the wallet friendly $199 price unlocked. We've got a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, Qualcomm 616, 13MP rear camera, fingerprint scanner, and 2GB of RAM. Huawei is also addressing style by packing that tech hardware into an aluminum casing.
Budget phones are hot right now, so we'll be continuing the discussion as we spend some more time with the Honor 5X. Over two days, were there any flaws in this hardware? How has the software held up? Here's out first 48 hour report.
