Billy Kirkpatrick, George Mugoya and Saifya George joined Interdisciplinary Research Leaders in the fall of 2016. In this video, this IRL team from Tuscaloosa, AL describes their team research project: Affordable Housing and Community Advocacy for People Living with HIV: Assessing Best Practices and Health Impact, and reflect on the experience of being IRL fellows.
Dr. Billy Kirkpatrick is the Executive Director of West Alabama AIDS Outreach. Dr. George Mugoya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Studies in Psychology, Research Methodology and Counseling at the University of Alabama. Dr. Safiya George is an Associate Professor at the Capstone College of Nursing and the Assistant Dean for Research at the University of Alabama.
