The first UN Social Media Day at UN Headquarters in New York will include Panel discussions and presentations covering two main areas: digital diplomacy (morning sessions) and social media trends for 2015 and best practices (afternoon).
Social media professionals, digital diplomacy practitioners, academics, and experts from across the spectrum of various creative industries will share their experience and insights. Further details on program and speakers will be announced at: blogs.un.org
The one-day event is jointly organized by the UN Department of Public Information Social Media Team, the Consulate General of Canada, the Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations, the Consulate General of Switzerland, the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United Nations, the New Zealand Permanent Mission to the United Nations and the New York Chapter of the Digital Diplomacy Coalition.
