✎ Most people wait their whole lives for someone to tell them they’re good enough. But here’s the truth: no one is coming to rescue you. You have to believe in yourself and take action now. In this talk I gave at the Imagine Summit, I walked through how I overcame self-doubt, built momentum, and started creating daily—even when no one was watching. I shared the story of meeting Les Brown, how his tapes got me through tough times, and how believing I was the “Michael Jordan of something” helped me push through fear and get moving. Your art matters. Your voice matters. But you have to be the first to believe it.

✎ I’ve had to fight through freeze mode more than once. There were days I couldn’t even look at my own videos without cringing. It took me 350 public uploads before I wasn’t embarrassed, and 700 before I actually inspired myself. I didn’t have mentors early on, so I visualized people like Les Brown advising me. That mindset carried me through. Consistency saved me—one video at a time. When things got hard, I used “the hug” (focusing on helping just one person) and “the push” (forcing myself to do things that were scary, difficult, or hard). I reminded myself that playing small was selfish—someone out there needs your story today.

✎ Dominique—who co-led the Summit—shared how watching my videos helped her believe in her dream and build a massive wellness summit from scratch. We talked about creating a life with purpose, surrounding yourself with people who lift you up, and showing up even when it’s uncomfortable. I believe we’re all built to serve. That means trusting your art, trusting your gut, and taking that next bold step. Don’t wait for perfect. Don’t wait for approval. If you’re in a bold state, act.
