Panel Discussion: "Repositioning Asian Cities: Designing and Planning Competitive Global Cities"

What is the role of architecture, urban planning and design in establishing more competitive global cities? How does design contribute to a city or nation's comparative advantage, in a regional context where cities compete for limited foreign direct investment? Join five esteemed panelists, all of whom are practicing in Asia today, to learn about the role of design in establishing competitive global cities and regional hubs. Each panelist will speak of an urban mega-project they are directly involved in, ranging from Kyu Sung Woo's new Asian Culture Complex in Korea to AECOM's various large-scale urban interventions in East Asia. A discussion will follow, moderated by Professor Alex Krieger.
