Rainforests are called "rain " forests as they get lot of rains throughout the year.There are two types of rainforest - Tropical rainforests and Temperate rainforests.There are four important parts of a rainforest ,these are called layers. These are -Forest Floor,Understory Layer,Canopy Layer and Emergent Layer.

As many as 30 million species of plants and animals are found in rainforests.
