The RSA’s Food, Farming and Countryside Commission launches on November 1st. We would like you to join us as we embark upon an ambitious 2-year programme of inquiry. As the UK government makes preparations to leave the European Union, this independent Commission, funded by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, is a unique and important opportunity to engage the voices of citizens, communities, businesses, academics and advocates in shaping the direction of food, farming and countryside policies. Against a backdrop of change and uncertainty, this Commission is intended to help secure the future of safe, sustainable UK food & farming systems and to protect national environmental assets, of vital economic, social and cultural importance, for now and future generations.
Speakers: Helen Browning, Chief Executive of the Soil Association; Lord Donald Curry, Farmer and Businessman; Caroline Mason, Chief Executive, Esmée Fairbairn; Sir Ian Cheshire, Chairman of Barclays UK, Chairman of Debenhams PLC and Chair of the Commission
Chair: Sue Pritchard, Director of the RSA Food, Farming & Countryside Commission
