Hello everyone,
This is part 2 of my depression story time. If you haven't watch part 1, click this link here to get better context on the story.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRRCTNjff3M
This 2nd part was so difficult to film, I had to stop way too many times during filming.
That being said, I hope that by making this video, I could help fellow mental health sufferer feel less alone and supported. I also wish that anyone who suspects that they might have depression themselves could avoid my mistakes and get help as soon as possible.
As of today, the mental health awareness in Malaysia (and the world in general) is on the rise, yet they are nowhere near enough. A lot of people still doesn't realize how subtle the symptoms can be sometimes and how easy it is to mask the condition - which is why many times suicides of friends, family members or celebrities caught people of guard. They couldn't see the signs beforehand (or they weren't paying enough attention).
So, I hope this video will be a small step in the direction of normalizing discussions around mental health issues especially in communities where being depressed or going to mental health clinic is still a taboo.
Here's hoping for a more mental health aware society!
Peace and love,
aiNNur
