In celebration of Berklee College of Music's 75 anniversary, alumni Terri Lyne Carrington and Danilo Pérez perform a virtual concert in duo, and with students from the institutes they founded and direct, Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice and Berklee Global Jazz Institute respectively.
Carrington and Pérez met at Berklee in 1980, and first performed together in the mid-1990's with Mike Stern and John Patitucci. They have each led successful careers winning Grammy awards, Downbeat Critics Polls, and honorary doctorate degrees.
Joined by students Veronica Leahy on saxophone and Wenjun Wu on bass, they will perform "Resolution" by John Coltrane, “Requiem” by Terri Lyne Carrington, and “Gratitude” by Danilo Pérez for tonight's virtual event.
