United Nations - Jan Eliasson will end his term as United Nations Deputy Secretary-General on 31 December 2016. Ahead of his departure for his native Sweden, Mr. Eliasson spoke with UN News about his "fantastic experience" over the past five years, including the ups and downs, and accomplishments and setbacks, he was a part of, as well as key lessons learned while serving the world body. He also calls for a greater sense of global togetherness to counter rising divisiveness and polarisation in today's world.
