As the economy booms in the San Francisco Bay Area, home prices and rents are soaring. While many are enjoying the new prosperity that has come primarily from the tech industry's expansion in the area, others are not so fortunate. Left particularly vulnerable are those already living on the edge, the working poor, the elderly, and disabled populations which have difficulty keeping up with the rapidly rising cost of living here.
