The United Nations General Assembly has proclaimed 3 March – the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
On this second observance of the Day, the UN is highlighting the simple yet firm message that “It’s time to get serious about wildlife crime”.
United Nations Television went to Central Park Zoo to meet Nora Beirne, a Zoo Keeper in charge of one of the world's most endangered, and most persecuted animals- the Snow Leopard.
