5 full-sized buses will set off in May this year. Crossing the famous Forth Road Bridge as they ply a 23km route over the Firth of Forth estuary from Edinburgh in the south to the county of Fife in the north. The buses use GPS, along with in-built sensors and maps to navigate predetermined routes at up to 80kph. The buses can handle traffic lights, junctions and roundabouts on their own each bus will have a safety driver behind the wheel to monitor the system in case of any emergency. #selfdrivingcars #bus #publictransport #scotland #edinburgh
