Most people approach trading with a job mindset, thinking they need to trade daily to hit a target—like making ten thousand dollars a month—just as they would earn a daily wage from a job. They expect the same cycle: trade daily, get paid daily.

However, in trading, your money might be at work for weeks, only generating returns two or three weeks later as the market moves or as time decay (theta) takes effect. This delayed payoff is something many don’t understand.
