Today’s how to hair tutorial is 3 easy hairstyles using heatles curls - perfect for spring and summer. I’ll show you how to create a simple French braid, a voluminous updo, and a down hairstyle all these hairstyles are perfect for wedding guests, prom, or even just a beautiful day out. Plus, I added a few flowers for that soft, romantic touch, perfect for spring hairstyles.
These looks are extra special to me because they were inspired by my mom, she’s the one who first taught me how to braid my hair. We’d do braids before bed, and I’d wake up with heatless waves in the morning before school. To this day, that’s still my favorite base for spring and summer hairstyles.
Think your hair’s too short or thin for braids or updos? Try adding clip-in hair extensions—my go-to is the @luxyhair Seamless Collection. They’re lightweight, blend beautifully, and add volume.

How to Recreate This Easy Down Hairstyle
1. Take a small 2 to 3-inch section just behind the front of your hairline and begin a simple three-strand braid, crossing the outside sections underneath the middle.
2. Keep the sections close together as you braid.
3. Once the braids meet, gently pull your braid apart to create an opening, and flip your lower braid up and pull it all the way through.
4. Then leave some hair in-between and create another 3 strand braid.
5. Repeat on the other side.
6. Gently pull each braid apart to add volume.
7. To finish, I tucked in a few flowers, wild flowers, even dandelions would look beautiful.

How to French Braid Hairstyle
1. Start by sectioning off the hair at your crown, then divide it into three equal pieces.
2. Cross the right section over the middle, then the left over the new middle — passing each piece from one hand to the other.
3. Now begin adding in hair - I let go of my right section, then, trace a small section from your part, add it into your right strand, making sure it’s completely sectioned off, and cross it over the middle.
4. Then do the same on the left, I just let go, trace a small piece, join, section it off, and cross.
5. Continue this pattern, adding small sections to your outer strands with each crossover.
I added three on each side to keep the look soft, and romantic.
6. Once you reach your neck, evenly divide the remaining hair into three sections, so your braid is even all the way down.
7. Then just continue with a simple three-strand braid and secure it with a clear elastic.
8. To finish, I tucked in a few flowers again.

How to Easy Updo / Low Bun
1. Start by gathering your hair into a low ponytail and secure it with a hair tie, but only wrap it twice so you have one wrap left.
2. Then, gently loosen the hair around your crown by pulling upward, to give this style that effortless, lived-in look.
3. Now, with your right hand, slide your index finger and thumb through the top of your elastic - almost like a pincher, with your thumb underneath and your pointer on top.
4. Twist your ponytail two times away from your face, then bring it upward, and loop it around your index finger to the left.
5. Pinch your ponytail with that same right hand, and pull it partway through the elastic to create a bun.
6. You can leave the ends out, or do what I like to do, gently pull them down and around to the left, tucking them underneath the elastic.
7. And if any ends fall out, let them, it adds to that undone, effortless feel.
8. To soften the bun, I just gently tug on a few pieces, until I find one that loosens to create that whimsical look.
9. Then, I place my flowers right over the top of the bun, sliding them in like a hair pin.
