Over the course of the pandemic, close to 100 million people are estimated to have fallen into extreme poverty and spikes in the price of food and fuel are creating a cost-of-living crisis while the wealth of the world's richest people has doubled.

What steps can be taken to tackle inequality within countries, boost income and social mobility, and avoid global unrest?
