Members of the Carillon Society can do more than make magic on the bells at the top of Rush Rhees. This past semester, they put their engineering and physics skills together, too, as they built a new practice carillon from scratch. Sophomores Alex Johnson and David Marshall talk about the process of building the MIDI-based carillon and the payoffs it will provide for Rochester's team of bell-ringers.
