United Nations - Top UN officials, including Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, have hailed the adoption of the New York Declaration today (19 September), at the first-ever UN Summit on Addressing Large Movements of Refugees and Migrants. The Declaration includes bold commitments to address both current and future challenges related to the global crisis of refugees and migrants. Following the Declaration, Secretary-General Ban also launched a new campaign, “Together – Respect, Safety and Dignity for All”, to “respond to rising xenophobia and turn fear into hope.”
