"Animals" Phrasal Verbs in English: Phrasal Verbs that Involve the Names of Animals

Today we're going to look at phrasal verbs that involve the names of animals. Since many of us have a family farm in our recent past, or even still live on a farm, it's natural for us to use the behavior of animals when we're trying to describe something colorfully. Probably every language has a lot of these animal verbs and expressions. But the funny thing is, not all of them use the same animal for the same behavior! For example, for "squirrel away," to stash, hide, or hoard something for future use, the Germans say "hamstern," to act like a hamster. If you picture the animal as you listen to these, you'll find most of them easy to remember. So let's start!
