Linda Franklin lives & works in a renovated church, which lends itself perfectly to creativity. Light filled, open plan, high ceilings & choc full of space to create. Her artistic background has led her around the world & has seen her master highly technical ways of working. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, it is the simplest acts of creativity that are now fueling her work. This short documentary on the artist explores her current style of mark making.

While tending to her own creative processes, she is also the nurturer of fledgling artists (along with the occasional recovering artist!), through a variety of arts classes she runs at her studio - South Street Arts Studio - southstreetartstudio.wordpress.com.

This film was produced for the Central Highlands Arts Atlas (artsatlas.com.au), with thanks to Vic Health, Central Highlands LEAP project, Ballarat Arts Alive & the City of Ballarat.

Filming / editing / interview & audio: Michelle Dunn (michelledunn.com.au)
Music: improvisation by Al Wunder & Bruce Millar
