Behind the scenes with Kulwa, a survivor of attacks on people with albinism | UNICEF

Kulwa, 21, is one of many Tanzanians with albinism who was attacked for her body parts. Her story shocked and moved thousands of viewers who flooded our Facebook page with comments of support. UNICEF Tanzania showed Kulwa the outpouring responses to her video and captured her reaction.
At least 74 people with albinism, including children, have been murdered in the country since 2000, with many more having limbs hacked off as a result of attacks. Witch doctors and others have profited from trading their body parts, which are believed to harness magical powers. Watch Kulwa’s original story here:
