Berklee Popular Music Institute covers Donny Hathaway’s iconic hit “This Christmas.”

As part of its ongoing partnership, The Berklee Popular Music Institute (BPMI) and publishing and talent management company Primary Wave, present a reimagined version of iconic hit “This Christmas” from legendary soul artist, Donny Hathaway. Throughout their remote semester, BPMI students used Zoom and smart phone technologies to produce, record, and create videos of iconic hits from Primary Wave’s artist catalogue. This video was created remotely with participants across the globe, including Mumbai, Toronto, Moscow, London, Atlanta, Milan, and Boston.

This project represents the first major partnership between a college music business program and a major industry publishing company.
