Betty demonstrates how to make Hot Pizza Dip with Toasted Baguette Slices. This is a fabulous hot appetizer that appeals to almost everyone. The recipe is adapted from the Pampered Chef cookbook.
Pizza Dip with Toasted Baguette Slices
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
8-ounce can pizza sauce
1/4 cup sliced green onions
French bread, sliced ¼-inch thick
2 tablespoons olive oil
In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and Italian seasoning. Spread in bottom of casserole dish. In a small bowl, combine mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle half of the cheese mixture over cream cheese mixture. Top with pizza sauce. Sprinkle with remaining cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly, about 15 to 20 minutes. Top with green onion slices. While Pizza Dip is baking, make Toasted Baguette Slices: Place bread slices in rectangular pan that has been sprayed with cooking oil spray. Lightly brush tops with olive oil. Bake at 350 degrees (F) until lightly browned, about 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with Pizza Dip or other dip or spread. Delicious! --Betty :)
