British Bulldogs. Meet Sheldon & Penny the beautiful British Bulldogs we encountered on our walk at the beach. Watch our video for some facts about owning this adorable breed.
Origin - From British Isles and bred from the Asiatic Mastiff
Temperament - gentle but brave & determined. Great with your family kids and pets but introduce gently to strangers, human and canine
Health - susceptible to eye & skin problems. Very sensitive to heat and cold. Facial wrinkles need daily attention.
Living - This breed is best as an indoor dog as they chill easily in cold weather and have trouble cooling off in the hot weather.
After a daily walk they are happy to lounge around.
Exercise - Obesity can be a problem so they need a walk every day
Grooming - Their short hair is easy to groom with a firm brush - a daily brush will help with shedding hair.
Lifespan - 8 - 13 years
They have an Alpha Dog mentality so be a strong human leader or they will lead you.
Recommend early socialisation & puppy training to walk on lead and other possible behaviour issues early is recommended.
They snore and may drool & slobber a little :-)
