Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, High Commissioner for Human Rights at 28th special session of the Human Rights Council on the deteriorating human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein called for international investigation in Gaza violence, following reports that 87 Palestinians including twelve children were killed in demonstrations.
Speaking at a Special Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva today, the UN Human Rights Chief said Palestinians in Gaza are “caged in a toxic slum from birth to death; deprived of dignity; dehumanized by the Israeli authorities to such a point it appears officials do not even consider that these men and women have a right, as well as every reason, to protest.”
